Josh joined the IPA in August 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Prior to joining the IPA Josh served as an intern for the lobbying firm of Filson/Gordon Associates and also worked for the Department of Central Management Services.
Cindy Bedolli is from Williamsville, IL. She worked at The State Journal-Register as an Advertising Clerk for over 12 years. She most recently came from The Hope Institute where she worked in Human Resources. Cindy is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a bachelors of science degree in marketing. She joined the Illinois Press in 2015.
Lisa Bouvet has worked in the clip department for the Illinois Press Association since 1986. She is from Springfield, Illinois. She is responsible for the media-monitoring of all Illinois newspapers.
Owen joined the IPA in December 2016. He graduated summa cum laude from Bradley University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Prior to joining the IPA, Owen was an intern at the Illinois state politics news service and blog, Capitol Fax and later went on to serve on the Illinois Senate President’s Policy and Budget Staff for four years, where he was the lead staffer on the Revenue, Appropriations, and Financial Institutions Committees.
Ron Kline joined the Illinois Press Association in 2010 as Technology & Online Coordinator. He is credited for assisting in the development and maintaining the publicnoticeillinois.com site as well as the IPA's electronic contest entry system, both systems utilized by many other state press associations. Prior to joining the IPA, Kline was a production systems specialist with The State Journal-Register in Springfield and was a computer support specialist for The News-Journal in Daytona Beach, Fla. He also has experience with a variety of specialized computer systems and most recently was a computer operator for Gtech, Inc., which processes the state lottery.
Stan Schwartz is the senior editor and communications director for the National Newspaper Association. NNA represents America’s community newspapers. After graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in journalism in 1985, he started his professional career with NNA’s trade newspaper, Publishers’ Auxiliary. He was soon promoted to assistant editor and then was made managing editor in 1996. After the association moved its headquarters to Columbia, MO, he joined the adjunct staff of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and taught journalism editing for six years. He has been with NNA in some capacity for 31 years.
Tony Scott is the former Senior Group Publisher-Illinois Community Division for GateHouse Media and a former IPA board member. Scott had oversight responsibility for 15 daily newspapers, 31 weekly newspapers and 14 shopper publications throughout the state. He began his newspaper career in 1997 as an advertising sales representative for the Monmouth Daily Review Atlas. His first publishing opportunity was at the Aledo Times Record and Town Crier in 2004 before becoming publisher in Monmouth and then Galesburg. Tony also serves as the associate director for the National Newspaper Association.
Carolyn Austin joined the Illinois Press Association in October 2015 as Business Manager. She is a native of Palmyra, Illinois. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Dallas Christian College, and received her MBA in non-profit management from Hope International University in California. She has worked for non-profit companies since 1995, such as the American Lung Association in Illinois, Illinois Ventures for Community Action, and Blackburn College. Before joining IPA, she was the Operations Manager for the Illinois Alliance of Boys & Girls Clubs.
Rewa grew up in Newton, a small farm town in southern Illinois. Prior to joining the IPA in 2006, Rewa worked in advertising for the Chicago Tribune and served in the United States Air Force.
Charlene is a long-time resident of Springfield, Illinois. She has worked at the Illinois Press Association since 1996.
Jeff Holman started with Illinois Press Association in July 2003. Before coming to Springfield, he worked in various advertising sales roles for the News-Journal in Wilmington, Delaware and the Cincinnati Enquirer and Post. Jeff was born in Buffalo, NY and is a graduate of West Virginia University.
Kate Richardson is a Taylorville native, who started her writing career as a freshman in high school covering cross country for the student newspaper, The Zephyr. Kate holds a master's and bachelor's degree in communication from the University of Illinois at Springfield. During her junior and senior year at UIS, Kate served as the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Journal. While pursuing her graduate degree, she sold and designed advertising as the business manager. Before joining IPA, Kate worked as a marketing associate at the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education.

Lynne Lance is an Air Force brat, born in Okinawa, and has lived in over 10 states and overseas. She graduated from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa with a BA in Advertising. She has worked for the communications firm, O'Connor & Burnham in Atlanta, Daniels Press in Birmingham, Alabama, WordMasters in Springfield and Pleasant Plains School District.
