illinois_capitol.jpgIncreased government intervention into such areas as commercial speech, employment, production and circulation has dictated that newspapers maintain a strong presence in the business community and before the General Assembly. Consequently, the IPA has become the leader in lobbying for newspaper interests.

Every newspaper doing business in Illinois has benefited from the commitment that the IPA has placed on its government relations program.  Much of the credit for the IPA’s legislative success goes to Illinois publishers who have proven to be highly effective lobbyists.
