Sports reporter needed

The Cass County Star-Gazette is seeking our new great sports reporter.

We seek a person who has skills to write and cover local sports in our region.

You must be curious and enjoy asking questions and have writing skills.

Strong language and Grammar skills are a must. Ability to take photos is part of the position

Skills you must have:

• Passion for sports is a plus
• Cover sports in our region when they happen.
• Must be knowledge In Design is very helpful
• Creativity is a plus as you will help design your sports pages.
• Strong commitment to the profession of sports and local community.
• Wants to out in the field  covering sports and understand deadlines

This is a perfect position for someone who has reporting background experience, or has journalist background or education and wants to learn the craft at a small weekly paper
