The Journal-Courier in Jacksonville is looking for a savvy manager to oversee advertising design and production aspects for several publications.
The manager will oversee and assist the advertising graphics section, which is responsible for the booking, designing, approving and proofing of print and digital advertising.

The perfect candidate will be someone who can coordinate scheduling of team members and manage the work flow to ensure timely production of daily and advance advertisements, including the production of Classifieds sections, as well as for special sections and projects.

The manager will serve as a liaison among advertising customers, representatives and directors and creative staff to ensure excellence in presentation under sometimes-demanding deadlines and constraints. The position will also assist in production responsibilities.

The right candidate must be a superb communicator and be able to balance multiple projects for both himself or herself and others. He or she must also be proactive in identifying and resolving potential issues as they arise.
We're looking for someone who can think both technically and creatively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree preferred in advertising, graphic arts, interactive media or related field. News advertising or graphics experience required; management experience a plus. High school diploma or equivalent with commensurate experience will be considered.
• Experience with Ad Manager Pro and PNP newspaper advertising and scheduling programs or similar programs required.
• Must have a demonstrated commitment to quality, task-oriented responsibilities and customer service both internally and externally.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite essential. Basic understanding of HTML and rich media formats, digital operations and ad servicing a plus.
• Must have excellent decision-making, time management and organizational skills.
