EDITOR for a weekly newspaper in Southern Illinois. We are looking for a community-minded journalist to write, edit and paginate The Breese Journal, a family-owned newspaper that covers Clinton County and the surrounding area. We are looking for someone who is versatile — able to cover everything from hard news and feature writing to ribbon-cuttings and school events. We seek an experienced, existing writer/editor; however, we will consider recent graduates who are able to prove their abilities. A journalism degree is desired but will consider others with appropriate work experience. Qualified candidates should have the ability to multi-task on deadline. We are searching for a candidate to become a vital part of this community and build relationships with local citizens and leaders. Proven experience with MacIntosh, InDesign, Photoshop is required.
